large and colorful painting is for me the grandest means of intense self
expression. My personality dictates the necessity to be primarily
self-taught and uninfluenced, in an independent attempt to visually
express feelings original and personal, that encompasses the timeless
joy of life I experience.
My work attempts to depict the timelessness of the seasonal changes of the natural world, which also conveys in me this same cyclical continuance of life's awe inspiring permanence.
One challenges the mind to depict fleeting moments from the past, to become subjects unreferenced amidst a natural randomness of abstract complexities and at the same time, constructing a satisfactory composition of perceived reality. How well one succeeds is questionable, though the effort remains meaningful.
Public recognition and self acclaim are foreign to my nature. Helping others achieve their aspirations, recognizing and encouraging their worth is a social consciousness to my community I find most gratifying.
I have studied art at The Museum School of Art and The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in Philadelphia. My work has been represented by the Newman Gallery of Philadelphia, The Somerville Manning Gallery in Delaware and with the Artists of St George in Tenants Harbor, Maine. My work has been acquired by MBNA of Delaware and various private collectors.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and now a permanent resident of Tenants Harbor, Maine, where I've established my families private galerie and studio.
